PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURES: ROUND 26 BETTING TIPS

Manchester City vs Tottenham

League leaders Manchester City are yet again runaway leaders with a gap of nine points over Liverpool and currently enjoying a 15-game unbeaten run in the Premier League. In their last Champions League fixture, they thrashed Sporting away from home, winning 5-0 and almost all but confirming a spot in the upcoming quarter-finals.

Tottenham, on the other hand, find themselves in a losing streak of three games in a row in the Premier League against Chelsea, Southampton and Wolves. The poor defensive displays against Southampton and even more so against Wolves troubled Antonio Conte as he traditionally would love to have a stable backline. Spurs have dropped to eighth in the League as they see their Champions League ambitions slowly fade away.

Interestingly, Spurs have won three of their last four Premier League games against Manchester City; however, these last three victories have all been in home games.

Home side Manchester City are the heavy favourites at 2/7 (1.28) to win, against Tottenham at 10/1 (11.00)

Wolves vs Leicester City

In their previous game against Spurs, Wolves managed to take home all three points with a convincing display in which they scored both goals in the first half and limited Tottenham’s options in the second. Bruno Lage has been instrumental in transforming his side into a solid and compact team that is hard for any team in the league to break down. With this great run of form, they have put themselves in the mix for the fourth position in the league as they are just six points behind Manchester United with two games in hand.

In their last game, Leicester City drew against West Ham, where they conceded a late equaliser from yet another set-piece – which is something that Brendan Rodgers would love to rectify as soon as possible. The Foxes have conceded the most goals from set-pieces (17) excluding penalties, and even though the team has adopted a new man marking system, they’ve still been unable to deal with their problems in the box.

Wolves are priced at 5/4 (2.25), to win at the Molineux, whilst Leicester City are at 5/2 (3.50)

West Ham vs Newcastle

West Ham find themselves in contention for the last champions league position after a great run of form in the early stages of the campaign. Recently, losses to Leeds and Manchester United were forgotten, with a last-minute goal securing them a point against Leicester City last time out. The Hammers are also in the Round 16 stages of the Europa League –  where they are yet to find out who they are drawn against.

On the opening weekend, the Hammers came out victorious after a 4-2 victory against Newcastle and will be hoping to repeat a similar result next Saturday. David Moyes will be wary of the fact that Newcastle have won their previous three matches in the build-up to the game. After the January transfer market, the Magpies look like a rejuvenated team, playing some good football with their players enjoying themselves on the pitch.

In the victory against Aston Villa, Left-back Kieran Trippier was subbed off after a suspected broken leg which might see him out for a couple of weeks. The Magpies, who are just four points away from the relegation zone, have momentum on their side as they face West Ham on Saturday.

West Ham are valued at 7/10 (1.70) to take all three points, whilst  Newcastle are at 21/5 (5.20) to win at the London Stadium.
