Group F Review

Morocco, Croatia, Belgium and Canada were the participants of a cut-throat Group F. Morocco defied the odds and topped the group with seven points, whereas Croatia amassed five points. A lacklustre Belgium side managed four points, while Canada lost all three games.

Morocco

A goalless draw against Croatia seemed like the advent of an ultra-defensive Moroccan World Cup campaign, but two solid performances against Belgium and Canada surpassed all expectations. Morocco has demonstrated its talent-laden squad to the world, propelled by the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Achraf Hakimi, Youssef En-Nesyri; just to name a few. The next stop for Morocco is Spain.

Morocco to qualify to the next round of the knockout stages is priced at 17/5 (4.40).

Morocco has shown that it possesses the arsenal required to preoccupy its opponents’ defensive line, and if Spain’s loss to Japan is to be any clue, we can say that the African side definitely has a chance to deal some damage.

Hakim Ziyech to score anytime is priced at 9/2 (5.50), while Moroco to keep a clean sheet is at 4 (5.00).

Croatia

It seems like there was one goalless draw too many for Croatia, who only managed a 0-0 draw against Morocco and Belgium apart from a 4-1 win against a defensively shambolic Canada. Nevertheless, Josko Gvardiol starred in several defensive displays of the highest order, as Croatia only conceded once in three games. Up next for Croatia is a solid Japan side.

Croatia to keep a clean sheet is priced at 13/10 (2.3).

Japan has proven to be a side that can strike when their opponents least expect it. This means that defensive blackouts must definitely be out of the equation for a Croatian side that is more than capable of packing a few punches. With the superb acumen of midfield maestros Luka Modric and Marcelo Brozovic, Croatians can surely keep the faith for their nation to make it through.

The second half to be won by Croatia is priced at 7/5 (2.4), while Marko Livaja to score anytime is clocked at 8/5 (2.6).
