Thrilling action comes from Group H as Portugal take on Uruguay in the second fixture. Portugal came out 3-2 winners against Ghana as they survived a last minute scare, whilst Uruguay played out a 0-0 draw against South Korea, which provided no shots on target from either side. Portugal looks efficient going forward but their backline suffered a bit when put under pressure.
Looking at the FIFA rankings, Portugal is ranked in ninth place whilst Uruguay finds themselves in 14th. In Russia, these two met in the round of 16 stages of the competition, and Uruguay won the tie 2-1.

PORTUGAL
A very dramatic opening game for Portugal who could have done without the late drama. Sloppy mistakes at the back brought back Ghana into the game as the game was in Portugal’s control. If it wasn’t for the slip at the end for Inaki Williams we might have had a different outcome to the match.
A brilliant performance from Bruno Fernandes who provided the assist for Joao Felix and Rafael Leao’s goal whilst Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opener which got him the record for the first player to have scored in five FIFA World Cup competitions. Now, it will be a question of ensuring that the backline is switched on at all times and Portugal might be a serious contender for the tournament.
Another win for Portugal will seal their faith into the knockout stages and LV BET we are pricing a 3-1 victory at 18/1 (17.00) with Bruno Fernandes to get amongst the goals at 17/5 (4.40).
URUGUAY
Uruguay had some great chances to open the score, with efforts from Federico Valverde striking the woodwork and Darwin Nunez heading the ball onto the post. Despite the best chances falling at the feet of their players, South Korea were the better side during the 90 minutes and the result was merited as neither side deserved to win.
Uruguay have a habit of overachieving at these tournaments and with Luis Suarez, Edison Cavani, Diego Godin and others playing their final FIFA World Cup, the cycle might be coming to an end. Darwin Nunez struggled to find that finishing touch as he was asked to help out with defensive duties. In the middle of the park, both Bentancur and Vecino struggled to dominate that area which was Diego Alonso’s main concern.
Both teams to score is being priced at 11/12 (1.92) with Darwin Nunez to score his first World Cup goal at 26/9 (3.90).
Match betting odds
Portugal come into the game as strong favourites at 19/20 (1.95), whilst Uruguay are at 10/3 (4.35) and a draw at 23/9 (3.55)
