Coventry City were last in the Premier League in 2000-01, while Luton have not been in the top flight since the 1991-92 campaign. They played together in League Two during the 2017-18 campaign, and it has been a meteoric rise ever since. This weekend, they will go up against each other for a chance to play in the Premier League next season. It will surely be a game for the football romantics.

Coventry City
Coventry City managed to get ahead of Sunderland in fifth place after an excellent end to the season. They went seven unbeaten games with the draw against Middlesbrough securing their place in the play-off semi-final. Coventry haven’t been as prolific as the other squad in around them, they only scored 58 goals, which is 10 less than Sunderland and 28 less than Middlesbrough. Both games against Luton Town ended in a draw, but the final next weekend will carry more weight, and a mistake from either side could prove crucial.
Mark Robins who knows what it takes to play in the Premier League will hope for a dramatic return to the famous top flight. His tutelage and experience has brushed off top goalscorer Viktor Gyokeres and, he would the man most likely to trouble Luton Town’s defence. The Greek striker is priced at 3.50 to score anytime during the match.
We are pricing Coventry to win the first half at 3.95, with a Coventry win and both teams to score valued at 6.75.
Luton Town
The aspirations of the club for this season might not have been to challenge for the play-offs, but a late push saw them clinch third place. During the first few games of the season, they drew the first two and then lost the next two, scoring only one goal in the process. In around November, they managed to climb to 10th place, but the board decided to part ways with Nathan Jones, and instead, they brought in Rob Edwards. After great performances winning three in a row, they made their way up the standings and into the play-off places. Their last defeat in the league came on the 18th of February, and they went unbeaten until the end of the season (6D, 8W).
At the Stadium of Light, it looked bleak for the Hatters, losing 2-1 away at Sunderland, having it all to do in the reverse fixture. In front of around 10,000 people, Osho and Lockyer made the dream possible as they won 2-0 and booked a place in the play-off final. During the game, they piled on the pressure thanks to their set-piece prowess.
Welsh manager Rob Edwards will hope that they can be as effective at Wembley. They are priced at 2.45 to win the game in 90 minutes. We are also pricing Luton Town to score first at 1.92 and a 2-0 correct score win is priced at 12.00.
