PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURES: ROUND FOUR BETTING
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham
This Saturday, the stars could align for Patrick Viera as the ex-Arsenal legend looks for his side’s first league win against Tottenham. An opening day loss to Chelsea (3-0) was followed up by two draws, one disappointing against Brentford (0-0) and one hard-fought against West Ham (2-2).
Tottenham, on the other hand, are enjoying an incredible start to the league. Perched above the table in an unlikely first-place spot, Spurs boast full points from their opening three fixtures, having beaten the likes of Manchester City, Wolves and Watford all respectively 1-0.
Tottenham are the favourites at 9/10 (1.90) to win, this Saturday with Crystal Palace measured at 33/10 (4.30).
Arsenal vs Norwich City
Both sides have underperformed in their opening three fixtures.
For Mikel Arteta, things couldn’t be any worse. His side are winless, goalless and sport the worst goal difference across every major league in Europe. Although injuries and sickness have played a part in Arsenal’s misfortunes – there will be no place to hide for Mikel Arteta when they welcome Norwich City to the Emirates Stadium this Saturday.
Things aren’t much brighter for Norwich City. A tough start has seen them lose 3-0 to Liverpool, 5-0 to Manchester City – a result they share with their upcoming rivals and 2-1 to Leicester City. ‘Easier’ fixtures are on the way for Norwich; however, they must first take on another of the ‘bix six’ this weekend.
Arsenal are the favourites at 1/2 (1.50) to win, this Saturday with Norwich City measured at 21/4 (6.25).
Leicester City vs Manchester City
An opening day win against Wolves (1-0) put three points on the board for Leicester City before a dismal display at the London Stadium vs West Ham (4-1) brought the foxes back down to earth. Fortunately, Brendan Rodgers’ side were able to bounce back with a 2-1 victory over Norwich before the international break.
On the other hand, Manchester City started off the season in poor fashion, losing 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspurs, before ruthlessly dismantling both Norwich City and Arsenal 5-0.
Pep Guardiola will undoubtedly have his side’s recent FA Community Shield loss at the back of his mind this Saturday, with his opponent Brendan Rodgers certainly hoping his side will be able to replicate that positive result.
Manchester City are the favourites at 4/7 (1.57) to win, this Saturday with Leicester City measured at 47/10 (5.70).
Manchester United vs Newcastle United
Things look likey to go from bad to worse for Newcastle United this Saturday when they travel to Old Trafford and line up against Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese footballing icon is set to make his second debut for the Red Devils this weekend, returning to Manchester early from international duty. Cristino Ronaldo will unquestionably be looking to reaffirm his status as a Premier League legend this Saturday and get on the scoresheet – we’ve got him at 4/9 (1.45) to put the ball at the back of the net at any time.
Prospects look bleak for Newcastle United this Saturday, having lost against West Ham (4-2), Aston Villa (2-0), and drawn to Southampton (2-2) in their opening games of the season. Steve Bruce will be hoping the international break did his players a world of good and that his revitalised squad can take the fight to Manchester United and forge different types of headlines than the expected ones.
Manchester United are the favourites at 4/25 (1.16) to win, this Saturday with Newcastle United measured at 15/1 (16.00).
Chelsea vs Aston Villa
The Blues have enjoyed an electric start to the season. Two wins and a draw against tough opposition – Crystal Palace (3-0), Arsenal (2-0) and Liverpool (1-1), has affirmed their status as possible winners of the Premier League come the end of the season.
Aston Villa also enjoyed a good start to their campaign, with wins against both Watford (3-2) and Newcastle (2-0), before a disappointing draw at home to Brentford (1-1). In eleventh place and with everything to play for, we expect Dean Smith’s side to come out swinging this Saturday in their first real test against the ‘big six’ this season.
Chelsea are the favourites this Sunday at 2/7 (1.28) to win, with Aston Villa calculated at 10/1 (11.00) to etch the result their way.
