PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHDAY 6 PREVIEW

PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHDAY 6 PREVIEW

Premier League Preview

The first five fixtures are done, and we have a good overall idea of where teams stand. Manchester City are dominant once again, Liverpool looks on it as well despite having a new midfield trio who incredibly gelled quickly, whilst Chelsea and Manchester United are both suffering despite their expensive transfer dealings.

Going into this matchday, we still have four different teams that are yet to lose a game, but all that might change as the North London derby rolls through. Get the latest information about the bout between Mikel Arteta and August manager of the month Ange Postecolgou.

Arsenal vs Tottenham

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: W – W – D – W – W  VS W – W – W – W – D

In the grand tapestry of football, the North London Derby isn’t just a match, it’s a reflection of the identity, history and aspirations of both clubs. It’s a stage where legends are born and where the heart and soul of North London come to life. After starting off their season in identical fashion, standing joint second with four wins and a draw, both Arsenal and Spurs will be eager to get one over their foes.

This year, we are witnessing a more controlled Arsenal; instead of just running at you, they are more composed and calm on the ball, knowing that if they keep passing it around, eventually, the space will present itself. Should there be a need to that frantic all-out pressing like we saw at the beginning of games last season, they are still capable of doing so. They did so as soon as they went 1-0 down to Manchester United at the Emirates, equalizing within a minute of conceding, elite mentality.

Life at Spurs has been rosy for the Australian manager; the football on display is good, and the energy is positive. Most people would have thought that the team would just crumble after the departure of Harry Kane. Now that they don’t have their all-time goalscorer to depend on, the goals need to be shared, and that adds another dynamic to the team; they are unpredictable going forward.

In terms of who might earn the bragging rights after 90 minutes, it’s a tough one to call. The odds are favouring a home win for Arsenal at 1.72. A draw and Tottenham winning are priced equally at 4.45. We think that this will be a similar game to the one that the Gunners played against United, thus pricing Spurs to score first at 2.60, with Arsenal to win and both teams to score at 2.55.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: D – L – W – L – D  VS W – L – W – W – L

A difficult start to the campaign for Chelsea despite splashing the cash on the best talents around. It will be a tough test for the Blues, but they have to start winning games as this might go south for Maurizio Pochettino. Sure, they have a lot of injuries, but they have a big enough squad to manage to win a couple of games. Raheem Sterling as well as Nicolas Jackson, need to step up their game in the forward front as their missed chances are costing the team.

Aston Villa have had a decent time of it this season; they brushed off that humiliating opening-day loss to Newcastle and picked up great results against Crystal Palace and Burnley. Unai Emery will look to pile on the misery on the Blues. We are pricing Aston Villa to win at 3.80, with a draw coming in at 3.90.

The pressure is on Chelsea to perform, in front of their home crowd, we are pricing a win at 1.95, a convincing win of 2-0 is at 10.00.

Liverpool vs West Ham

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: W – W – W – W – L  VS L – W – W – W – D

Liverpool managed to turn it around against Wolves last weekend, mostly down to the missed chances by Wolves when they were in the ascendency, which lasted the whole first half. Liverpool was second-best in every department in the first 45, but after the changes made by Jurgen Klopp and a determined team talk, they roared back at Wolves, blowing them away eventually.

West Ham on the other hand suffered a predictable defeat against Manchester City, to their credit they took the lead and frustrated the Champions for most of the game. At the end City had more to offer and West Ham crumbled, which will serve them as a good lesson against this upcoming weekend opponents.

We are pricing a Mohammed Salah goal at 1.95 whilst a combination of Liverpool win and over 2.50 goals at 1.77.
