It’s time for round three in an epic-looking Formula 1 calendar; next up, we have Albert Park, home of the Australian GP. This track has it all, long straights, a tight turn one which might lead to some chaos on lap one and tricky curbs, adding that extra challenge for the drivers to keep it on track.
The standings look delightful for Red Bull, with both drivers winning a race each. Last year’s only serious contender for Max Verstappen was Charles Leclerc, and he is eighth in the driver’s championship after only ranking up six points, whilst teammate Carlos Sainz is 10 points behind fellow compatriot Fernando Alonso, who will be eyeing a third successive podium this weekend. How will the standings look after the race in Australia?

Race Winners
The Red Bull machine is looking like a very fast car, with Max Verstappen coming through the pack in Saudi Arabia to recover from a fault during qualifying, which set him back to 15th place. By the looks of it, the only thing that could prevent Red Bull from winning this Grand Prix is a squabble between the drivers on track. Over the radio, we heard some comments from both drivers wanting to push more to secure the fastest lap and with both in a great chance of a title push, we can expect a coming together at some point. Max Verstappen is priced at 1.33, whilst Sergio Perez is at 5.50 to clinch their second win of the season. Further down the order, we have Lewis Hamilton, whose chances of a win are at 23.00, whilst Fernando Alonso who briefly took the lead in Saudi Arabia is at 10.00.
The qualifying order will be a great indicator of which team is on the pace or not, as Mercedes and Ferrari both try and see where they can improve their machine to avoid another disappointing season for their respective teams.
Qualifying Winners
The fastest car on track was the Red Bull, and we expect more of the same at Albert Park, Max Verstappen to get pole position is priced at 1.40. As we saw last time out in Saudi, a fault could mix up the order and we are pricing the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso to clinch pole at 9.00.
Podium Finishers
Charles Leclerc has struggled to keep up pace with the Red Bulls and even to some extent the Aston Martin. The ambition of becoming a World Champion with Ferrari is getting bleaker by the minute as they look to have made a step backwards rather than sustaining their front row pace this season. We are pricing Charles Leclerc to finish on the podium at 2.37. George Russell and his Mercedes cohort had some drama after the race in Saudi as he was awarded third place due to Alonso’s penalty but later got it stripped away. George Russell to spray champagne on the podium is at 5.50.
There is always a high chance of a safety car coming out in Australia and we are pricing the chances of it happening once again on Sunday at 1.28
