Hansi Flick and his team are up against it in terms of results achieved and have it all to do against Costa Rica. The shock elimination in Russia might be playing at the back of their mind and they need to avoid a repeat at any cost.
In the last game, Spain dictated the tempo of the game for the majority of it, with small spells, were Germany really threatened. Jamal Musiala has been a bright spark in this team but is yet to score a goal which would be vital for the team and his confidence. Niclas Fulkrug was on hand after being introduced into the game to finish off a sublime move by Germany to give his side a lifeline going into the last game.
