England play against Wales in the last game of Group B, a very close group.
Last time out, England were very underwhelming against the United States. Gareth Southgate was very, very pragmatic in his approach to the game. He didn’t bring on substitutes quickly and got caught out.
Credit to the USA as they played well and still have a chance to automatically promote to the draw. As for Wales, it was a really poor performance against Iran last time out where they felt that they should’ve taken three points, but they are still alive and holding on by their fingernails.
When it comes to England, what team will he pick, and what formation will Southgate go with?
It’s a really good opportunity for them to get out of the group, and Wales will make it into somewhat of a derby with a lot of fans and supporters. It will be a lot of noise in the stadium, but I don’t think that they have the quality, certainly not that of 2016 when they reached the semi-final of the Euros. They look like an ageing team; Gareth Bale, Joe Allen came on, and Aaron Ramsey in the middle of the park.
I do feel that England will run out as the winners, and I think it will be pretty convincing.
I am going for a 3-0 England result against the Welsh.
