ARSENAL VS CHELSEA: BETTING TIPS

ARSENAL

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: L – L – L – W – L

The Gunners have enjoyed a prime position to get back to playing Champions League, but recent form – losing three games in a row and only scoring once in the process, has thrown a spanner in the works. Mikel Arteta has streamlined his squad, which could ultimately be his side’s Achilles heel. In recent weeks, injuries and absents in the form of Thomas Partey, Tierney, Alexandre Lacazette and Takehiro Tomiyasu left the Spaniard with limited options, forcing him at replacing them and in some cases, resorting to playing players outside their normal position.

Against Southampton last time out, Arsenal’s men found it difficult to get in behind the Saints back-line, and when they did, they came up against an inspired Fraser Forester who produced a couple of world-class saves to keep the Gunners at bay. The best chance of the game fell to the feet of Bukayo Saka in the first half when Martinelli squared the ball to him inside the box. The Young Englishman was able to strike the ball perfectly at the centre of the goal, but Fraser Forster scrambled and got a hand to it to tip it over the bar.

In the second half, it was one-way traffic with Arsenal dominating possession of the ball, forcing the Saints keeper into saves, but had very few clear cut chances to salvage a point from yet another disappointing result. Arsenal’s youthful squad might fall short of Champions League football, but they will be up for a fight as the first whistle blows this Wednesday.

Both teams to score in the match is priced at 11/12 (1.92)

Arsenal to win with a correct score of 1-0 at 29/4 (8.25)

Bukayo Saka to score anytime during the match at 36/10 (4.60)

CHELSEA

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: W – L – W – W – W

Chelsea has been involved with cup competitions in recent games, eliminated from Champions League against Real Madrid and last time out at Wembley, winning against Crystal Palace to book their place against Liverpool in the FA Cup Final.

In the Premier League, the Blues put on a brilliant performance and outplayed Southampton winning 6-0 on the day, cementing the third spot in the league. Injuries have crept up on Thomas Tuchel’s side, with Kovacic being taken off against Crystal Palace and the prolonged absence of Ben Chilwell, the two most notable players to miss the game.

In recent games, Thomas Tuchel has criticised his players’ will towards working hard to achieve the results, but as seen in Spain, his squad is more than capable of turning the tide in their favour whenever asked. The last time the two clubs met was early in the league when the Blues triumphed by 2-0.

We are pricing the same result favouring the Blues at 7/1 (8.00).

We are pricing Chelsea to score the game’s first goal at 3/5 (1.60), with Timo Werner to score anytime during the match at 23/9 (3.55)

ARSENAL VS CHELSEA: BETTING ODDS

Arsenal are priced at 33/10 (4.30) to win, whilst Chelsea are at 7/8 (1.88) and a draw valued at 11/4 (3.75)
