CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: MATCHDAY 4 BETTING TIPS

Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid

First in Group B with a total of nine points from three games, Liverpool have shown exemplary form during their Champions League campaign thus far.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid are in the middle of a pitched battle with Porto. Both teams share the second-place spot on equal points (4), with one win, one draw and one loss.

The last time these two European juggernauts faced each other at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Liverpool ran out as hard-fought winners. After going two goals up thanks to the efforts of Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita, Antoine Griezmann was able to bite back and score a brace for the Colchoneros before getting sent off early in the second half. Momentum swapped to the visitors’ side, with Salah scoring a penalty late in the half to secure a famous away win.

This time around, both sides come into the fixture as undefeated teams since their last encounter. Liverpool have enjoyed away victories to Manchester United (5-0) and Preston (2-0), along with a 2-2 draw to Brighton & Hove Albion, while Atletico Madrid drew twice against Real Sociedad (2-2) and Levante (2-2), before beating Real Betis 3-0 last Sunday.

RB Leipzig vs Paris Saint-Germain

Enjoying life on top of Group A, Paris Saint-Germain have won two of their three Champions League fixtures  (2-0 vs Manchester City and 3-2 vs RB Leipzig) this season, with their only draw coming to the hands of Club Brugge (1-1).

Last years second place Bundesliga finishers, RB Leipzig, have had a hard go of their European campaign so far. The German club have lost all three of their fixtures, conceding 11 goals along the way and not picking up a single point.

Since their last loss to PSG in the competition, RB Leipzig have found some domestic form. A win against Furth (4-1) was complemented by a DFB-Pokal victory against Babelsberg (1-0) before drawing 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt last Saturday.

Paris Saint-Germain’s season has progressed according to plan. The reigning French champions are once again firmly atop the Ligue 1 table, eight points clear of their closest competitors. However, with three games left in Europe, nothing can be taken for granted. A win this Wednesday will be demanded by Mauricio Pochettino – who knows that any unfavourable results in the Champions League could make his job more complicated, as has been the case for his predecessors.

Manchester City vs Club Brugge KV

The reigning Premier League winners still have a long way to go in the Champions League. Currently in second place, City trail Group A leaders Paris Saint-Germain, with only two points separating them from their upcoming opponents – Club Brugge KV – this Wednesday.

After demolishing them 5-1 in their previous encounter, Manchester City went on to beat Brighton & Hove Albion by a similar margin, 4-1, before losing to West Ham in the EFL Cup on penalties (5-3) and Crystal Palace (2-0) in the Premier League.

Club Brugge KV, on the other hand, draw against Antwerp (1-1) before going on to beat both Deinze (3-0) in the Belgian Cup and STVV (2-1) in the league.
