Group F Teams
Hungary
A brilliant comeback against Iceland in a fan-less Ferenc Puskas Arena, saw Hungary succeed in their efforts to qualify for their second successive Euro tournament. Although placed with a group of teams that share six European Championships between them, head coach Marco Rossi will be confident that his squad of warriors will be able to replicate the fight which saw them overcome tough qualifying competition and take the battle to some of the best national teams on the continent.
Portugal
Portugal enter the UEFA EURO 2020 (2021) Finals as the defending champions after their emphatic win against France in 2016. Retaining his star role in the team, captain Cristiano Ronaldo is set to become the first player in history to compete across five European Championships. As a team, Portugal look more than capable of retaining the trophy, especially with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix and Bernardo Silva, in the ranks of the Seleção.
France
The reigning World Cup champions made quick work of their qualifying group, finishing first with eight wins and scoring a total of 25 goals. Manager Didier Deschamps knows that his side are majorly favoured to make it all the way to the final – and with good reason. With a roster of World Cup winners to choose from that includes Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann and Raphael Varane, there won’t be many lining up to bet against France’s chances come this June.
Germany
After a disappointing 2018 World Cup campaign, Joachim Löw was forced to oversee an inevitable overhaul of Die Mannschaft. Although keeping the likes of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and playmaker Toni Kroos, along with Marco Reus and Ilkay Gündogan – who both boast plenty of international experience, the bulk of the German EURO 2020 (2021) team will be made up of the newer generation. Proving himself on the international stage by scoring 13 goals in just as many games, Serge Gnabry looks ready to lead the German line with Leroy Sane and Timo Wener providing backup.
