ARSENAL 2023/24 SEASON PREVIEW

Arsenal Season Preview

Coming off a season that got many frustrated Gunners believing that they could actually win the Premier League, expectations and hopes are up, and rightly so. Mikel Arteta and his squad almost had the perfect season domestically but fell short near the end when the irrepressible force of Manchester City ramped up the pressure and eventually won the title. Make sure to revisit the incredible effort by Arsenal last season by reading the season review on our LV BET Sports Blog

Join us in the LV BET Sports Blog where we go through the key battles of the Premier League, Champions League and much more, whilst analysing various topics that are relevant to the game at the time.

MIKEL THE MAN

After a difficult first season in charge, the former Spanish midfielder turned things around and Arsenal are backing him blindly after what he and his staff managed to do last season. The players voiced their praise towards his coaching methods, especially with young players and extracting the very best out of each individual. Once again, the board has splashed the cash as they saw how well the club progressed over the years, and the Declan Rice transfer along with Havertz show exactly how highly the board rate their manager.

The stakes are higher this time around, as instead of the UEFA Europa League, they have the Champions League to compete in. Success in that competition is pivotal for the financial position in the coming years. Reinforcements have been added both in the middle of the field and at the back, places where they lacked alternatives last season. It will be interesting to see if Mikel Arteta reverts back to the mainstay starting 11 like last season or if he chops and changes as the weeks go by.

Another addition to the squad might be made later on this month as Brentford’s keeper David Raya has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and looks destined to join the North London squad. Should the transfer go through, Arsenal will have two or three players capable of playing in every position, giving great depth and flexibility to mount a challenge on all fronts next season.

PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTION

The belief is running high in the Arsenal camp and the wind is in their sails. LV BET is pricing Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title at 6.00. A fair price for the squad that they have assembled for the upcoming season. They are only second to Manchester City who are once again favourites to win the title, which would make it their fourth in a row.

We are also pricing Arsenal to finish in the top four at 1.38, which is deemed a must after the heavy investment made during the summer transfer window. It’s shaping up to be a very interesting and exciting season for Arsenal. Everything about the club suggests that they are on the up; Bukayo Saka signed a new deal, Trossard and Nketiah had a great season and hope they can get more playtime in the upcoming season, whilst key additions strengthen the bench and options to change the game plan should need be.
