WOMEN’S FIFA WORLD CUP 2023 – GROUP H PREVIEW

WOMEN’S FIFA WORLD CUP 2023 – GROUP H PREVIEW

Women's World Cup

Rounding off this section of previewing all the World Cup groups, we are taking a closer look at Group H, featuring two-time champions of the world Germany, alongside Morocco, who will be participating for the first time, South-American outfit Colombia and South Korea.

Let’s take a look at the national teams in Group H and see what are their chances of progressing to the knockout stage. Make sure to check the LV BET Sports Blog for more information about the Women’s FIFA World Cup to uncover the top betting tips.

Who exactly are the participants of Group H?

GERMANY

Germany had cemented it’s legacy in Women’s World football when they managed to win the competition back-to-back in 2003 and again in 2007. Recent success came for the team when they won the 2009 and 2013 Euro championships. Germany participated in all of the World Cups and in each occasion they managed to work their way out of the group stage – their worst performance is reaching the quarter-finals, not bad at all.

Causing problems for their opponents for both club and country are Dzsenifer Marozsan and Sara Dabritz, who will look to steer their country to another successful World Cup campaign. It will be an emotional campaign for captain Alexandra Popp who will be playing her last tournament at the age of 32.

We are pricing Germany at 8.00 to win the tournament.

MOROCCO

After witnessing the great run from the men’s national team in the latest World Cup in Qatar, the Moroccan women’s national team will be fuelled to perform at their highest standard even more. Their place in this group was decided after reaching the final of the women’s Africa Cup of Nations, a final that they lost to South Africa.

Making the first entry into the World Cup can be overwhelming but Reynald Pedros will hope to instil calmness into his camp. A momentous journey for Morocco resulting in a semi-final appearance is priced at 47.00.

COLOMBIA

A very similar path to the FIFA World Cup group stage was experienced by the Colombian national team after reaching the finals of Copa America but was beaten by Brazil. This will mark the third appearance in a FIFA world cup group stage for the South-American outfit after reaching the round of 16 in 2015.

They will look to make a good impression during their first game against South Korea, which will set them up nicely for a grandstand finish to the group. Colombia have a better chance than most to reaching the semi-final as they come up to 14.00.

SOUTH KOREA

The Asian team will be participating for the fourth time in their history of the World Cup. Their best-ever finish was back in 2015 when they reached the round of 16. Their team is comprised by players who are playing in the South Korean Women league, and only a small number of players venture out of the country. This feature creates a great understanding between the players but might be restrictive in terms of quality.

We are pricing South Korea to reach the semi finals at 7.50
