Luckily for the South American side, a monumental Emiliano Martinez managed to save enough penalties to see his nation through to the quarter-finals.

Croatia will be a tough nut to crack, but with a timeless Lionel Messi weaving his way into the heart of the defence, it’ll just be a matter of time until goal-scoring opportunities arise. Although Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel will have to sit this one out through suspension, Argentina is definitely not short of enough talent to see itself through.
