Morocco V France

Everyone is surprised by Morocco in this competition, but should we really be that surprised?

They’ve managed nine clean sheets in the last 10 games, even the goal they conceded was an own goal, which just shows that they are well organised. They are full of determination, full of character, and they know how to defend.

With Hakimi in that right-back position, Ziyech further up the pitch, and Amrabat in the middle of the field as well, they have the quality to score goals,l as they did against Portugal. The results against Spain and Portugal will obviously lift them and give them confidence, but the question is have they got the energy against a French team that is now being tipped as the favourites to win in Qatar?

France, with Mbappe, Giroud and Griezmann leading the line and at the back, they have been solid as well. Goals have come easy to France, whilst keeping clean sheets has been really difficult, a very tricky one to call; there are a lot of Moroccan fans out here they will probably dominate the stadiums with their fans, but I think France will run out victorious. I am going for France 2-1 Morocco to set up an Argentina vs France Final next Sunday.

  • France to beat Morocco 2-1 is available at 15/2 (8.50)
