ARSENAL VS LIVERPOOL BETTING TIPS

Arsenal

Reluctant steps were forced to be taken this weekend when the North London derby was postponed. The Arsenal camp suffered from an increase in Covid cases, injuries, and players away on international duty at AFCON. The Gunners were unable to field the minimum amount of eligible players for their weekend fixture against Tottenham, thus leaving their remaining squad now well-rested ahead of their EFL Cup Semi-Final against Liverpool.

Last time out, a red card for Granit Xhaka early in the first half left Arsenal on the back foot at Anfield. Against all odds, Arteta’s side showed enough character and determination to not only keep Liverpool from scoring but to keep the Reds from registering a single shot on target.

While the odds are against the home side this Thursday, a galvanised Arsenal support, along with returning first-team players like Takehiro Tomiyasu, Martin Odegaard, and Emile Smith-Rowe could help push the London side over the line and secure a famous victory at the Emirates.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette comes in at 21/10 (3.10) to score a goal at any time this Thursday, with Gabriel Martinelli at 47/20 (3.35), and Emile Smith-Rowe at 22/9 (3.45)

The Gunners measure up at 21/4 (6.25) to win the game, with both sides scoring.

Arsenal come in at 15/2 (8.50) to secure the victory with a 1-0 scoreline.

Liverpool

Things looked like they couldn’t get much better for Liverpool when in their first EFL Cup Semi-Final fixture against the Gunners, Arsenal Captain Granit Xhaka got himself an early sending off for a tackle on Diogo Jota. Unfortunately, things didn’t go exactly as planned for the Reds. Arteta was forced to switch his playing system and deploy his side in a defensive block, leaving Liverpool without any joy and coming away from the game with a 0-0 draw.

A 3-0 win at home to Brentford this weekend proved that even without the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, Liverpool are still an effective well-oiled machine, capable of scoring goals given the chance. Fabinho, ex-Arsenal star Oxlade Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino all found the back of the net last Sunday, with the trio likely to start in the upcoming game against Arsenal.

Liverpool head to London with previous results and odds very much in their favour. Klopp’s side hasn’t been at the wrong end of a result away to Arsenal for some time, having lost only twice at the Emirates in seven years in all competitions.

Diogo Jota comes in at 7/5 (2.40) to grab himself an EFL Cup Semi-Final goal, with Roberto Firmino at 41/20 (3.05) and Divock Origi at 21/20 (3.10)

The Reds measure up at 27/10 (3.70) to win the game with both sides scoring.
