Premier League Thursday action hits the Emirates as Arsenal take on Wolves for the second time in two weeks.
ARSENAL VS WOLVES: BETTING TIPS
Recent Premier League form: W–W–D–L–W
The Gunners have fired back at their critics after a terrible January saw them receive four red cards and only score a single goal in the entire month. Recent wins against their upcoming opponents, Wolves, and Brentford, have kept them very much alive in the Premier League top-four race, with them currently in sixth place, four points away from fourth with three games in hand.
However, even after their two wins on the trot, it’s not all sunshine and roses for the Reds. Arsenal’s inability to add prime target Dusan Vlahovic to the squad during the January transfer window has left them looking short up top, especially when you take into consideration ex-club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang departure to Barcelona. And while Lacazatte is a proven goalscorer on his day, responsibility has fallen on young-guns Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe to continue their fantastic seasonal form and add goals to the Arsenal team.
Last time out, a goal from centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes put Arsenal on the front foot at the Molineux Stadium before a double yellow card for Brazilian compatriot Gabriel Martinelli forced the Gunners to switch to a more defensive formation and repel the onslaught.
Arsenal line up at 41/10 (5.10) to repeat their previous result and come away with a 1-0 win.
An Arsenal win with both sides scoring is also available on offer at 22/9 (3.45).
Recent Premier League form: W–W–L–W–W
Arsenal’s celebrations after their tight 1-0 win two weeks ago at the Molineux weren’t appreciated by home fans and players alike. Seeing the Gunners enjoy themselves at the expense of Wolves has left Bruno Lage and his players with a bad taste in their mouths – undoubtedly keen to draw blood this Thursday and hit back at the Emirates.
Since that loss, Wolverhampton Wanderers made short work of Tottenham Hotspurs (2-0) in London and took all three valuable points against Brendan Rodgers and his Leicester City Foxes (2-1). While they’re currently not the main talking point in the top four race, Wolves sit on the seventh spot in the Premier League, six points away from Manchester United – who hold fourth place having played two more games.
A cold Thursday night at the Emirates could be the perfect place for Wolves to bite down on their top-four challenge. A three-point finish in London could push them within touching distance of fourth place and a point ahead of West Ham and Arsenal.
Wolves line up at 8/1 (9.00) to win the game with both sides scoring.
Ruben Neves comes in at 33/4 (9.25) to show off his talents in front of an Arsenal crowd and get a goal this Thursday.
