EFL CUP FINAL: CHELSEA VS LIVERPOOL BETTING TIPS

Two Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Liverpool clash this weekend as they try and get their hands on the Carabao Cup.

EFL CUP FINAL: CHELSEA VS LIVERPOOL BETTING TIPS

CHELSEA

Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and the Club World Cup.

Chelsea have pretty much won it all in the last five years – but one title has escaped them for some time. The Blues have been unable to wrestle the EFL Cup from Manchester City’s grasp since 2015. So good were Pep Guardiola’s team that they won it five of the last six years – but they were sent packing early this time, and it’s opened the door to the others. Chelsea won it seven years ago, defeating Tottenham under the Arch, and now they want to win their sixth title.

In his last interview, Tomas Tuchel said that there is no use looking ahead to catch Liverpool in the league as they are currently on another level to Chelsea. In their last league game, a late winner from Hakim Ziyech clinched three points away from home for the Blues, who only narrowly avoided a ninth draw of the season.

The last time these two sides clashed at Stamford Bridge late last year, the two played out an entertaining draw as all four goals were scored in the first half, with the game finishing 2-2. Both teams will be expecting a similarly tight match next Sunday, likely to draw in a number of neutrals eager to see who will lift the first trophy of the season.

Thomas Tuchel is also yet to get the best out of his expensive summer signing as Lukaku’s performances are seemingly getting worse, with the striker only managing six touches in his last game against Crystal Palace. Could this final be the moment that the Belgian striker properly announces his presence in London and secure Chelsea their first bit of silverware this season?

A repeat of that 2-2 draw after 90 minutes this weekend is 13/1 (14.00).

You can get Chelsea to edge it 2-1 at Wembley at 11/1 (12.00) with goals to be scored in both halves 11/12 (1.92).

The Blues to be ahead at half-time and full-time is available at 39/10 (4.90).

You can get them at 32/9 (4.56) to score in both halves on Sunday.

LIVERPOOL

Even after Manchester City’s incredible run of six wins in the last eight years, they have still been unable to overhaul Liverpool.

The Reds also have eight League Cup titles to their name – and want to make it nine and return to the top of the honours’ board on Sunday. It’s ten years since Liverpool last did it, struggling past Cardiff City, needing penalty kicks to take the crown back in 2012. But still fighting on four fronts, Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the trophies coming.

Liverpool occupy second place in the league with a game less than leaders City, who dropped crucial points against Tottenham last Sunday. In the last game, The Reds came from behind to win at home against Norwich 3-1. Luis Diaz scored his maiden goal in front of the Kop, capping off a great start to his first three games in a Liverpool shirt. The Colombian winger will undoubtedly look to have a say in the Carabao Cup Final as Liverpool look to lift the League Cup for the first time since 2012.

Jurgen Klopp will need to juggle a few injuries ahead of the final, with  Diogo Jota, Bobby Firmino and Divock Origi doubtful for their match this  Sunday. Jota will be especially missed as since Mane and Salah left to play in AFCON, the Portuguese forward led the line and added crucial goals to his seasonal tally of 17.

Liverpool love to score goals – over 1.5 on Sunday is 3/2 (2.50).

A 2-0 Reds victory is on offer at 13/1 (14.00) with LV BET.

You can back a 3-1 Liverpool success in regular time at an eye-catching 25/1 (26.00).

Will Klopp’s team go in front? We have them at 9/11 (1.82) to score the opening goal in the final.

Liverpool to go in ahead at half-time is 41/20 (3.05).

CHELSEA VS LIVERPOOL: EFL CUP BETTING ODDS

Chelsea are valued at 43/20 (3.15) to win, as Liverpool are at 13/9 (2.45), making them the favourites to take the title. The draw is priced at 2/1 (3.00).
