Belgium get their EURO 2020 (2021) knockout stage underway this Sunday, with Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portuguese teammates paying them a visit at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla.

In the end, it was easy for Belgium to qualify for the Round of 16.

Roberto Martínez’s side won all three of their group stage fixtures against Russia (3-0), Denmark (2-1) and Finland (2-0) to pick up all nine points on offer and top the group. Cruelly, their prize for claiming the top spot is the opportunity to take on the reigning champions, Portugal, in the  Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla this Sunday.

Although Portugal have gotten the better of them in recent years, Belgium line up for their weekend fixture enjoying a better run of form than their upcoming opponents, who have struggled to get the better of the bigger sides of the tournament; France 2-2 and Germany 4-2.

Now making their fifth appearance in the knockout stages of a major international tournament (EUROs & World Cup), Belgium fans will be expecting their side to move up a gear and put their past experience into practice. Expectations will be high on Belgium getting past Portugal and cementing their reputation as a latter-stage team.

Romelu Lukaku, who has already scored three times for Belgium, is calculated at 6/5 (2.20) to find the back of the net this Sunday against Portugal.

Belgium are calculated at 5/7 (1.72) to qualify for the next stage of the competition and at 3/1 (4.00) to win the fixture with both sides scoring.

If you fancy the Belgians to put on a dazzling display in Spain, we’ve got you covered with a 3-0 scoreline on offer at 22/1 (23.00)

It’s not the first time that the reigning champions ended their group stage in third place and still managed to nudge their way into the Round of 16 fixtures. A 2-2 draw against France proved to be enough for Fernando Santos and his side, as Group F rivals Germany and Hungary were also forced to share the spoils of their battle.

Although they won’t be lining up against the easiest opponents this Sunday, Portugal are a proven tournament team, especially with the competitions top goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, leading the lines. In recent years, a Seleção have often found themselves matching up against ‘greater’ opponents, only for them to flip the odds on their heads and to grind out a well-fought result.

Always ready to show up on the world’s brightest stages, captain Cristiano Ronaldo comes in at 3/2 (2.50) to increase his current five-goal tally against Belgium this Sunday.

Portugal are measured at 11/10 (2.10) to qualify for the next stage of the competition and at 12/5 (3.40) to end normal time in a draw.

With Portugal and Belgium both scoring a total of seven goals in their first three games, we’ve got both teams to score at 9/11 (1.82) and over 3.5 goals on offer at 20/7 (3.85).

Belgium line up as the team to beat at 3/2 (2.50) to win, with Portugal measuring up at 21/10 (3.10).
