MAN CITY

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: W – W – W – D – W

Manchester City are looking like an unstoppable beast after going the whole month of March without conceding a single goal. In their recent games against RB Leipzig in the Champions League and FA Cup against Burnley, they scored 13 goals, eight of which were scored by Erling Haaland. Pep Guardiola will be happy that his team are confident in front of goal, especially just before a game against a huge rival.

The slight change in formation has worked wonders for Guardiola, who is now electing for the less traditional 3-2-4-1. This style of play pushed either John Stones or Rico Lewis into the double pivot position offering protection for the back three. This gave the Spaniard mastermind a chance to play four players behind Haaland, who will engage that early press more effectively to win the ball back as soon as possible.

The big Norwegian striker is priced at an astonishing 1.20 to score anytime during the match, merit to him and his squad with over 2.50 goals in the match at 1.60. Man City to close up shop and keep a clean sheet is at 2.60

LIVERPOOL

PREMIER LEAGUE FORM: L – W – W – D – W

After being knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid, Liverpool’s season now hinges on them securing Champions League football for next season. In the beginning of March, Liverpool shocked the world by thumping Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield, but the following week they lost against Bournemouth. That is the season that Liverpool are having, no consistency in performances and they are struggling to finish off their chances against teams in the lower half of the table.

The international break will help Jurgen Klopp find new ways of setting up his team in order to seal the cracks that have crept up lately. The main problem for the German coach will be the lack of options in the midfield, with Stefan Bajcetic, who has enjoyed a breakout season, might be sidelined due to an injury he picked up a few weeks back.

Liverpool are known to rise up to the occasion so don’t make the mistake of ruling them out of the contest. Liverpool to win and over 2.50 goals in the match is priced at 6.50, whilst a correct score draw of 1-1 is at 6.75.

MATCH ODDS

Man City are the overwhelming favourites at 1.55, whilst a shock win at the Etihad for Liverpool is at 5.45, and a more likely draw is at 4.35
