Dusan Vlahovic

Talks have once again taken place between Chelsea and Juventus to swap Romelu Lukaku for Dusan Vlahovic, with Chelsea asked to offer a sum of money to get the deal agreed with the ‘Old Lady’. Now that all the top leagues in Europe started, it will be more disruptive to the team should these talks drag on as uncertainty looms on their key man. The Serbian striker has produced some magical moments for the Bianconeri, but a move to Chelsea can never be ruled out, especially with Todd Boehly in charge.

This deal might not be as straightforward as one might think, as there are two players that need to be pleased, Romelu Lukaku doesn’t want to continue his career in England and wants to force a move to the Serie A, but Juventus are reluctant to offer a big outlay to a player that has a lot of baggage.

For the deal to fall through and Dusan Vlahovic continuing his love story with Juventus is at 1.50. A drastic move to Tottenham is priced at 4.00. Ange Postecoglou might not be blown away by the qualities that Richarlison has offered in the opening two games, funds are available, it’s just a matter of reaching an agreement.

Kalvin Phillips

After securing his big move to Manchester City from Leeds, Phillips has had more work collecting trophies than he did actually playing. It’s always fun to collect trophies but, as a player, he wants to play regular football. The allure of staying at City, knowing the great quality of players in and around him is always there, but as of late, Liverpool has sounded their interest in recruiting him. The profile that young Englishman offers fits what Liverpool wants at the moment. The transfer fee could be a relatively cheap one compared to other holding midfielders, and it might go down to the last day of the transfer market.

LV BET is pricing that Pep Guardiola keeps his man at 1.45, whilst a shock move to red side of Merseyside at 3.00.

Marco Verratti

After what looks like a clearout from PSG, after selling Neymar and Messi they are looking to change things up. Marco Verratti, 30 year-old, has played the majority of his career in Paris and is looking for something new. For many, he is one of the most underrated players that does the dirty work for his team. Manchester United has made their intentions clear that they want new personnel to fortify their midfield and Marco Verratti is one of them. The Italian midfielder, have had competition for his signature from Saudi Arabia as Al-Hilal are looking to add him to the long list of transfers to that league.

The transfer value is around €40M. It will be interesting to see how this progresses in the coming weeks as Manchester United have spent a fair amount of their said transfer budget, but are yet to satisfy their demands, especially after the opening two games. A transfer to Manchester United is priced at 13.00, whilst a move to the Saudi League is priced at 1.50. The chances of him staying at PSG ranks up at 3.00

Romelu Lukaku

After a successful spell at Inter Milan, winning the Scudetto with them, Chelsea once again wanted his services and splashed €113M to get him onboard. After a couple of games, he went to a journalist and conducted an exclusive interview which shocked Chelsea and most football fans. A loan was again secured back to Inter, which did not prove to be as fruitful as his first move there, but he got to the Champions League final, which wasn’t on the cards at Chelsea. The loan ended and he is back at Chelsea and he is yet to hold talks with Maurizio Pochettino; he wants out.

What are the options for the Belgian striker? As he continues to burn bridges, the options are narrow and the only option is to either stay at Chelsea and suck it up or else try and force a move to Tottenham Hotspurs, who are preparing for life without Harry Kane. He is a long way away from Harry Kane but he will offer much more to Ange Postecoglou than Richarlison. The likelihood of this transfer is priced at 2,50, and staying put at Chelsea is priced at 4.00.

All the odds featured in this blog are subject to change depending on changing events and the market bases the chances of players making their respective decisions before 3rd September 2023.
